Villa Crystal Dream

The fall season is lovely here on Cape Cod, but there’s a chill in the air which always signals winter is right around the corner and it’s time for me to head to St. Barth. Our staff is busy planning their pre-season inspection trips with a full agenda of villa and hotel visits and of course to check out what’s new for dining, shopping and spa-ing.

November is a wonderful time to come to St. Barth—restaurants and shops are newly opened and there’s lots of activity. See what’s happening in the calendar section below. And the villas and hotels are all at Value Season savings! Do take a peek at the participating villas in our Drive, Dine & Relax Package. This value-laden promotion gives you a taste of the cuisine St. Barth is famous for and a car to explore all its beautiful beaches.

I hope to see you on the island!

What’s Cooking

Thai food lovers are in for a treat with the just-opened Black Ginger Restaurant in Gustavia (in the lovely courtyard space formerly occupied by L’ Entre Deux). We were delighted to hear that our delicious, fresh local fish like Wahoo and Mahi Mahi will be incorporated into some of the dishes. Open nightly for dinner at 7pm. Closed on Tuesdays.

Hotels of St. Barth

Le Sereno Hotel has opened for the season with a new restaurant, and the name is easy to remember — Le Sereno Restaurant. It embodies the concept of destination dining: St. Barth-style and the hotel’s sophisticated ambiance. The team behind this exciting new incarnation includes celebrated restaurateurs Jonas and Alexandra Milan. The Milans own Miami’s James Beard awarded Juvia, as well as Bonito, here on the island. Their partner Juan Carlos Perez, hotel owner Luis Contreras and restaurant GM Fred Dubrueil all have a fine hand in this as well.

Executive Chef Laurent Cantineux heads up an all-star culinary team in the kitchen. The menu has a strong French focus with a nicely blended Asian influence and a nod to the Caribbean and its bounty of fresh seafood. Sushi, small plates and an assortment of charcoal skewers will be featured as well as innovative presentations of fresh, local fish. And, oh, the desserts. There is always something new at Tom Beach — theme parties at the uber-popular La Plage, bikini brunches, wine-tastings and what-not. Now all are invited to yoga classes – front and center on St. Jean Beach. The one-hour classes are held every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday 5:15pm. Just bring a towel and the €15 fee. Namaste.

Client Accolade

It was WONDERFUL, and thanks for the anniversary card!  A little quieter there that time of year but we still had a blast and enjoyed the quiet beaches and the serenity of the villa. We'll definitely be back.
